Privacy Policy
Introduction
At Alphazed ("the Company", "we"), we take children's privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in our educational apps designed for children. Our apps are designed for children ages 3 to 15 and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Registration and Parental Consent
Using our apps requires creating an account. During registration, we ask for the parent's or guardian's email address. We do not collect personal information directly from children without parental consent.
- The account holder must be 18 years of age or older
- We send a notification to the parent when a child account is created
- Parents can review or delete their child's information at any time
- We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal data from children
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide our educational services:
- Account Information: Parent's email, child's name (or nickname), and age group
- Learning Data: Child's progress in lessons, scores, and completed levels
- Voice Data: Temporary voice recordings for speech recognition technology — processed in real time and not stored
- Device Information: Device type and operating system to ensure technical compatibility
Chat and Messages
Our apps do not contain any chat or messaging features between users. Children cannot communicate with other users or third parties through our apps. All interactions are with educational content only.
Push Notifications
We may send push notifications to remind children to continue learning or to inform parents of their children's progress. Notifications can be disabled at any time from the device settings. We do not use notifications for advertising purposes.
Persistent Identifiers
We use persistent identifiers (such as device IDs) only for internal app support purposes, including:
- Maintaining login sessions and saving progress
- Ensuring the app functions properly
- Technical performance analysis (without personal tracking)
We do not use persistent identifiers for targeted advertising or to build behavioral profiles of children.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade children's personal information. We may share information only in the following cases:
- Service Providers: With trusted third parties that help us operate the app (such as hosting services), which comply with strict privacy policies
- Legal Requirements: When necessary to comply with the law or protect our rights or the safety of users
- Parental Consent: With explicit consent from the parent or guardian
Parental Rights and Controls
We respect parents' rights to control their children's information. Parents have the right to:
- Review the personal information we have collected about their children
- Request deletion of their children's personal information
- Refuse future collection or use of their children's information
- Access the parent dashboard to monitor learning progress
To exercise these rights, please contact us by email: hello@thealphazed.com
Data Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, secure storage, and limited employee access.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify parents of any material changes via email or through an in-app notification before the changes take effect.
